FAQ

I. When is the best time to schedule my newborn session?

Scheduling your newborn session is recommended after your 20-week anatomy scan. However, feel free to reach out even if you're beyond that timeframe. While early scheduling ensures date availability, I'm also flexible and accommodating for clients who couldn't schedule before the baby's arrival.

III. My baby has already been born, can I still book a session?

My schedule for newborn sessions is frequently booked 2-3 months ahead. If you're certain about wanting newborn photos, don't delay reaching out until after the baby is born. In case of last-minute cancellations or if a baby arrives earlier or later than expected, there might be availability, so feel free to inquire even if your baby is already here. For babies older than 8 weeks, consider booking them for an older baby session instead of a newborn session.

V. What if my baby cries or doesn't settle?

It's entirely natural for babies to cry occasionally during sessions, but this phase usually doesn't persist throughout the entire session. If, despite attempts to soothe, change, feed, and wind the baby, crying persists, we can easily reschedule the session, as it may be an indication of an underlying issue. However, in the majority of cases, with time, patience, and perseverance, babies settle, allowing us to capture beautiful images, whether they're awake or asleep.

II. How can I book without a confirmed session date?

Your due date will serve as your session date, ensuring your spot on my calendar for that month. After your baby is born simply send me an message within 48 hours. We'll then schedule a definite session date and time within the first 7-21 days of your baby's arrival. Upon booking your newborn photo shoot session, I'll provide a detailed email with all the necessary information, including scheduling post-birth, session expectations, preparation guidelines for both you and your baby, and additional helpful insights and tips.

IV. How long does a session last?

Sessions typically range from 2 to 4 hours, with occasional extensions, especially for twins. These sessions are entirely baby-led, prioritizing your baby's comfort, happiness at safety. To ensure a relaxed atmosphere, I schedule only one newborn session per day. Considering that this might be one of the first outings for your new family, there's no need to worry if you take a bit longer to leave the house or encounter traffic. Additionally, if your baby requires more time to settle, there's no need to watch the clock – our focus should be on the baby, creating a delightful experience for everyone.

VI. What happens after the session?

After your session you will receive a soft proof gallery, from there you will be able to pick your final images to have edited. I will hand edit every final to perfection and deliver them via an online gallery.
